The SM series medium - and low - voltage insulators are designed with cylindrical ends and a spindle - shaped middle section. They are also the most commonly assembled insulators in the traditional static electrical industry.

Their height ranges from 20 to 76 mm, the diameter ranges from 17 to 50 mm, and the operating voltage is approximately between 800 and 4000 V.

In terms of performance, the main parameter to be considered is the torque value. Depending on the size of the product, the installation torque ranges from 3 to 30 N·m.

Since they are made of unsaturated resin materials, they have relatively high and stable insulation resistance values. At a voltage of 1000 V, the insulation resistance is greater than 23000 MΩ, enabling them to maintain stable insulation performance under different environmental conditions.

    The SM spindle-shaped insulators are made of high-quality insulating materials, which can effectively prevent current leakage and provide reliable insulation protection for electrical systems. Within the specified operating voltage range, such as around 800 - 4000V, they can ensure that the current flows along the predetermined path, avoiding current leakage and thus guaranteeing the normal operation of electrical equipment and the safety of personnel.

    They have a relatively high insulation resistance value and can maintain stable insulation performance under different environmental conditions. Even when exposed to a certain degree of pollution or moisture, they can control the leakage current within a safe range through their own structural and material characteristics.

    Optimized electric field distribution. Moreover, the spindle-shaped structural design of the SM series insulators helps to optimize the electrical performance. Compared with the traditional-shaped MNS series insulators, it increases the creepage distance and reduces the risk of discharge.

    The SM series insulators also have strong bending and tensile resistance. The spindle-shaped structure gives the insulators better mechanical properties when subjected to bending and tensile forces. It can effectively disperse external forces and avoid stress concentration at a single point, thereby improving the insulators' bending and tensile resistance.

    Depending on the size of the product, the installation torque of the SM spindle-shaped insulators ranges from 3 to 30 N·m. Appropriate installation torque can ensure that the insulators are firmly installed on electrical equipment, preventing loosening during operation.

    The cylindrical design at both ends facilitates installation and enables precise connection with other components, ensuring the stability and reliability of the installation.
